I love snacking especially during long, boring office hour. But sometimes snacks are rather unhealthy to our body. It is important to have some healthy snacks to munch on such as the raisin! Raisins are very affordable snacks and yet it is beneficial to your body.

 

Raisins are dried grapes that that come in various sizes and colours such as green, black, purple, yellow. It is heat dried or used in mechanical oven for drying. Some of the popular raisins are Sultana, Malaga, Monukka, Zante Currant, Muscat and Thompson seedless.

 

It contains almost 60% sugar which is fructose. So what is the goodness and benefit of munching raisins over other food?

 

The high energy and low fat snacks have high contents of antioxidants that fight free radicals. It will improve your blood flow and keep them clean by getting rid of impurities. Raisins are also beneficial to bone density with their mineral contents. They are also excellent for your gum and teeth as well as eyesight!
