I used to have my doubts on the small colourful grapes, be it green or purple or black grapes. How much goodness can come from this sweet, juicy fruit?
Plentiful, obviously from the recent research that grape juice is probably as good for your heart as the red wine!
Grape is rich with a few types of polyphenols such as resveratrol, phenolic acids, anthocyanins, and flavonoids, which is also found in red wine. It is an antioxidant that is very beneficial for your body.
Studies have shown that it could oxidize the bad cholesterol, LDL and dilate the blood vessels, reducing the risk of coronary heart diseases and cardiovascular disease.
On top of that, grapes are also a great source of other nutrients such as Vitamin A, C, B6 and folate and minerals like potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, and selenium, copper, manganese, and zinc! Not to forget fibre and protein in grapes!
Well, who could think that little, juicy fruits can be so beneficial for your body?
